I grew up during the cold war, studied political science, and interviewed with the National Security Agency. The interviewer asked about my hobbies and when I replied, "art," he suggested I go back to school to "get it out of my system". Went to art school, but worked as a systems oriented family therapist. My experience with the NSA made me I realize that art was potentially "subversive". I worked as a family therapist and learned that what people just "knew to be true" about themselves and others was often problematic and that relabelling the truths could open new choices for them. My art looks at "memes," encoded ideas of what MUST be true and false, and tries to reframe them in ways similar to what I did in my therapy work.
Well. that's an odd combination of images. "Universe: Evolution in Action" addresses many BIG memes; Creation, evolution to consciousness, competition, the evolution of cooperation. This is my framework to hope we can all get along. The strange rocks in the sky are again evolution - slime crawling out of the ocean. Trump and Comey are part of the series Trump Impeachment Memorial
