Artist Bio/Statement
I'm a filmmaker/photographer who focuses on candid environmental portraiture. I take intimate photos that isolate people in unproduced and genuine moments, while still striving to achieve a polished cinematic aesthetic.
My images stem from a compulsion to try and capture/catalogue my memories. A lifelong love of movies led me to my profession as a cinematographer, I’m drawn to the visual language and techniques of motionpictures. I primarily shoot with anamorphic lenses, resulting in widescreen images with unique optical qualities.
Hopefully in the distant future my photos can serve as a visual time capsule for anyone interested in taking a look.
