In facing my lived and intergenerational trauma, I’ve found my voice as a writer and sculptor. My journey through grief to joy has been the driving force and focus of my current creative life. In working with the figure, I’ve explored the emotional bonds that intrigue and nurture me. Deeply intuitive and process driven, my work has always been a means for catharsis and spiritual growth. The wonder of not knowing what will come out next provides an excess of motivation.

Canadian born, I was raised in Toronto, Canada and London, England. Two years into a Music degree, I decided to explore working with my hands; this led to my years as potter, ceramic sculptor and stone sculptor. I showed in Toronto, Montreal, Atlanta, Key West and Paris, France.

After an interminable 27-year hiatus from the arts, I moved to Brooklyn in late 2022, began writing and, once again, to sculpt in clay. My work has been included in juried shows at The National Sculpture Society, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, Nails Gallery, Gallery 440, as well as at Honey Badger Motel Gallery.

In Brooklyn’s dynamic arts scene, Gasworks studio is homebase. As a regular at Roots Cafe's Sam & Friends Open Mic, I pair poetry with my contemporaneous ceramic sculpture. I am also a member of theNational Sculpture Society and Art Lives Here.
